A Bridport pub is set to reopen under new management this week.
The George Hotel on South Street has been taken over by the Collyns family who have previously developed the Pilot Boat Inn, Lyme Regis.
The new owners are set to announce an opening day this week after they decided that they wanted a new challenge by taking on the hotel.
The new owners are also taking over The Bridport Arms in West Bay.
By taking over The George Hotel, they plan to 'redefine the quintessential English pub experience' and will offer a small menu of 'freshly cooked pub classics with a twist' alongside a 'great' drinks menu.
In a Facebook post, The George Hotel wrote: “Keep an eye out for our opening day this week… and for job opportunities for locals.”
The owners will be recruiting locally for roles.
