A YELLOW weather warning has been set for Dorset by the Met Office.
Between 3 am and 8 am on Wednesday, November 23 a warning of heavy rain and gusty winds is set for the county and much of the south west.
It is the latest of a spate of adverse weather warnings to have hit the county over recent weeks.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Another spell of wet, windy weather will arrive across southern parts of Wales and southwestern parts of England in the early hours of Wednesday.
"For many, this will be fairly normal (if unpleasant) autumn conditions but for a few, there could be a short interlude with torrential rain and very gusty winds."
The forecasting service has warned people on what conditions to expect, they said:
- Spray and surface water on roads, probably making journey times longer
- Bus and train services are probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are likely
- Some short-term loss of power and other services is possible, with perhaps a few tree branches down too
