WIMBORNE RESERVES 3
NEW manager Adam Herring’s first game as Bridport Reserves yielded a point as Wimborne Town Reserves fought back for a 3-3 draw in the Jewson Dorset Premier League at St Mary’s Field.
Callum Arnold scored a brace and Robin Jones netted a bullet header as the reserves went 3-1 up, only for the young Magpies to hurtle back for a 3-3 draw, including a penalty given against Josh Grace for holding.
Speaking to the Bridport News, Herring said: “It was a good point, we were lucky to hang on.

“It was a game of two halves. We started well, pressed them and nicked the ball off them.
“They’re a young Wimborne team that are looking to play at a higher level, so they’re coached to pass it around.
“We nicked the ball off them in dangerous areas and took our chances. We went 3-0 up in 20 minutes but they got two goals back before half-time.
“Then we conceded a sloppy penalty with 15 minutes to go, then we hung on for a point.”
Herring’s men visit Balti Sports in the league on Saturday (3pm).
Bees: Wootton, Baggs (Strelley), Radivojsa, Mansley (Brook), Ja Scadding, Grace, Ward, McAllister, Jones, Arnold, Mann (M Calverley).
