A busy route in Bridport is set to be shut for five days starting today due to repair works.
The road will be closed to allow Wessex Water to carry out essential repair works to a collapsed sewer on the route.
All vehicles are prohibited from proceeding along North Allington, Bridport between its junction with Fulbrooks Lane and its junction with Mount Pleasant, which is a distance of approximately 130 metres.
The works began on Monday, October 24 and are expected to be completed by Friday, October 28.
A diversion will be in place for those who are planning on using the route. The alternative route, which will be signposted is as follows: B3162 - B3163 - A3066
Drivers are advised to approach the area with caution and allow extra time for their journey due to the delay.
The road closure will be in operation 24 hours a day until completion.
