BRIDPORT have named Chris Herbst as their new manager.
Herbst succeeds previous boss Edgar Marcu, who was sacked in September having taken just one point in seven games.
It leaves Bridport Reserves without a permanent boss, with Herbst having stepped up from that role to take on the interim first-team job.
And he has done enough in his temporary spell to convince Bridport's chiefs of his suitability for the role.
He becomes the Bees' seventh manager since 2019.

In a statement on social media, Bridport gave further details on Herbst's backroom team.
The Bees said: "Bridport FC are proud to announce that the first-team manager's job has been handed to Bridport Reserves manager Chris Herbst.
"Chris will be assisted with Bridport’s Mark Lock also club coach Kriss Radivojsa and physio Mark Tozer.
"This decision was made and agreed by Bridport FC committee and directors.
"We would like to thank all applicants for their interest in joining the Bees. All had great enthusiasm for this position with excellent CVs."
Herbst has claimed one win – the Bees' first in 392 days – plus two draws and suffered only one loss in his four games in charge to date.
The Bridport News understands Herbst was the popular choice among Bees players to take the club forward.
Certainly, the squad has responded to his methods in his interim stint and Herbst will now be tasked with pushing the Bees up the table.
Bridport are currently 19th and bottom of the South West Peninsula League Premier East table, having taken only three points from nine games.
They are the only winless side in the division, coming off the back of relegation from the Toolstation Western League Premier Division last season.
