BEAMINSTER got on the board in the Dorset Senior League after a battling 1-1 draw against an experienced Westland Sports Reserves.
After a fast start, Beaminster grew into the game but were dealt a blow when Westland scored from distance past debutant keeper Thomas Balch.
Beaminster continued to press and got the equaliser through Rainbows legend Murray Legg.
In an even second half, both teams made chances but were kept at bay by good defending and goalkeeping as the points were shared.

Post match, Beaminster manager Neil Holt said: “I was pleased to come away with a point even though I think we could have possibly grabbed all three.”
After their first two matches, Beaminster occupy tenth position and have one point.
Holt’s men host Dorchester Sports Reserves on Saturday (3pm).
