Charmouth Fire Station's newest recruit has earned his first stripes.
Tom Bartlett completed his basic training last week - a two week skills course - and is now 'on the run' with the station.
Over the next two years he'll attend a number of skills acquisition courses.
His first call-out came on Tuesday evening - Tom's alerter starter going off at 6.57pm and he immediately made his way to the station before riding out on the appliance for the first time under blue light conditions.
The crew had been called to a road traffic collision and were joined by colleagues from Axminster Fire Station.
Charmouth Fire Station is still recruiting for paid on-call firefighters - to find out more call 01722 691444.
