YOUNG members of Bridport's Les Bois theatre school put their best feet forward - and notched up 100 per cent success in their recent dance exams.

Pupils aged four to 17 recorded 107 passes, many at honours and highly commended grade.

Examiner Phil Winston, director of Danceworks - one of the foremost training centres for professional dancers in the UK - praised the candidates who were tested in Bradpole Village Hall.

They were all "well prepared, polite and enthusiastic."

He had particular words of praise for the boys, writing on their reports that "there is much promise here for the future".

Pass winners were: Pre-juvenile group award: Daisy Friedman, Maddy Herbert, Rosie Howell, Frances Keddie, Sean Keddie, Abigail Lincoln and Ellen Pearce.

Juvenile ballet medal: Ella Burwood.

Preparatory grade ballet: Lauryn Alner, Benjamin Best, Ella-May Cauldwell, Eve Dawson, Bethany Ford, Megan Furner, Teresa Griffiths, Grace Kiddle, Amy Laurence, Lauren Lindsay, Charlotte Pitcher, Nikki Salter.

Primary Grade ballet: Chloe-Amber Cash, Zack Chantler, Sapphire Churchill, Tom Hyde, Ella Horne, Olivia Southall.

Preliminary tap medal: Imogen Burwood, Abigail Hardy, Grace Savage, Molly Savage, Rachel Van Zyl, Saskia Wood.

Bronze ballet medal: Daisy Curtis, Alice Haskins, Sophie Hall, Gabrielle Horton, Alice Kiltie, Angelica Pownall, Chloe Wood.
