A daunting but popular 3.15km swim challenge will be taking place this weekend.
Participants in the Lyme Regis to Charmouth Challenge Sea Swim will be waved off by the Mayor of Lyme Regis, friends and family from the sandy beach on Sunday September 4.
The annual event, which supports good causes, is organised by Lyme Splash Crew.
Upon finishing in Charmouth participants receive a survival blanket, hot chocolate, biscuits, water - and a badge, and will then be brought back to Lyme Regis by event supporter Lyme Rib Rides.
Finally after the last swimmer is out the water there will be a raffle at the check-in tent in Lyme Regis, with tickets available online and on the day.
Lyme Splash is a not-for-profit organisation. This year they are raising money for BSharp and Plastic Free Lyme Regis.
Entry is £45 for this full wetsuit event, and you can register here: http://www.lyme-splash.com/product/swim-registration/
