Five people had to be rescued after the boat they were onboard broke down whilst out at sea.
A volunteer crew from RNLI Lyme Regis was called to the incident at 12.41pm today (August 29) after a dive boat suffered engine failure.
The seven and a half metre long boat was stranded one and a half miles from Lyme Regis' harbour.
The dive boat, which was based in West Bay, was towed to the safety of the harbour by the lifeboat crew.
Solent Coastguard asked the Lyme Regis lifeboat crew to assist the dive boat at 12.41pm and they returned, after successfully completing the call for help, at 3.20pm.
