Have a blooming good time at a Bridport Gardening Club’s annual Summer Show.
Bridport and District Gardening Club is celebrating the Living Tree’s 10th anniversary with proceeds of plant sales from its Summer Show going to the charity.
The show will be held on Saturday, September 3 at the United Church Hall on East Street, Bridport and the exhibits are available to be viewed from 12pm, with the prize giving taking place at 3pm.
The show is open for entries from everyone, and light refreshments will also be available, alongside a silent raffle.
Entries are open for dahlias, potted plants and other flowers or you can show off your culinary skills, photography, or produce from your garden - whether it’s fruit and vegetables you grew or a jam that you’ve made with them.
Earlier on this year, the Spring Show saw 260 entries across the range of spring flowers, herbs, artworks, preserves and cakes and outside, the plant stall raised over £200 for the Weldmar Hospice care Trust through the sale of plants donated by members.
This summer’s charity, The Living Tree is a self-help support group for people who have experienced cancer and for their families and carers.
The group is based in Bridport and is open to anybody affected by cancer from West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset.
