Two well-known Bridport creatives are to collaborate styles during an exhibition to be held over the coming bank holiday weekend.
A special exhibition at The Salt House will feature the work of local photographer Neil Barnes and the striking abstract work of Louise Perkins.
Louise, proprietor of Essence Lingerie in Barrack Street, Bridport, said: "I have developed my artistic flair and passion for colour of the natural world over the last 20 years or so to a level that allows me to share my work via an exhibition. My subject matter is always a mystery to me until it appears on the canvas, the paintings very much reflect heart and mind and are always surprising in their form”.
A career-long news photographer, Neil has only in the past 10 years or so turned his attention to landscape photography. His work showcases the beautiful area that we live in, especially West Bay and the Jurassic Coast.
“I always say I’m 50 per cent of the way there with our beautiful county, the rest is how I interpret it with the camera," said Neil. "Whilst I will be showing some of my favourite landscapes of west Dorset, I will also be exhibiting some of my more contemporary work which I think people might find unusual and different”.
The exhibition is at The Salt House in West Bay from now until Monday.
