Fire crews were called after a group of people were seen having an open fire and a barbecue on a cliff.
Bridport Fire Station were called shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday (August 21) to the reports on Eype beach.
Despite multiple fire risk campaigns and messages in recent weeks, a small group of people had an open fire and a barbecue at the base of the cliffs. Crews extinguished the fire and barbecue using a bucket of water and gave the group some advice.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: “Please, please don't have open fires or BBQ's on grass. We've all seen recently what can happen when these catch light to the dry vegetation. And please keep away from the base of cliffs as these are extremely susceptible to rock falls.”
