A fire at a beauty spot is believed to have been started deliberately, according to the fire service.
Firefighters from Bridport, with assistance from Beaminster, were called to a fire in the open at Coneygar Hill shortly before midday today.
One appliance was sent from Bridport and, on arrival, crew discovered a small, deep seated fire approximately 5x5 metres.
Due to the location, assistance was needed by use of a small off-road vehicle.
This came from Beaminster Fire Station using their Ford Ranger.
One hose reel jet and small tools were used to extinguish the fire.
A fire service spokesman said the cause is believed to be deliberate.
