A person has been rescued from a drain after becoming trapped in a tiny space.
Bridport firefighters were called to Downes Street, in the town centre, shortly before 10.15pm on Saturday after receiving reports a person was trapped.
Two appliances were sent to the scene.
On arrival crews found one casualty with their body fully underground and only their head and arms above ground.
A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "Friends and passers by had attempted to release the casualty but were unsuccessful.
"The casualty was in a state of shock and understandably very distressed. With help from the casualties friends, crew members managed to calm the trapped person and extract them from the hole.
"The casualty suffered minor cuts and bruising but didn't require any medical assistance."
Crews made the area safe before leaving the scene.
