A POWERFUL story surrounding a harsh history is to be told in Bridport next week to raise money for Women’s Aid.
The Magdalen Whitewash by Valerie Goodwin tells the stories of the girls who went to the Magdalen Laundry in Dublin, incarcerated by their families.
It was only when the land was being sold by a convent that bodies were found and questions finally answered. You’ll meet eight of the girls and learn their stories.
The performance takes place Saturday July 30 at 7pm at the Mountfield Terrace, Millennium Green. This will be an outdoor performance.
Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased from Bridport Tourist Information Centre 01308 424901.
