A celebratory party will be held at a church to mark its anniversary.
Bridport United Church will be holding a party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the UK's national United Reformed Church on Saturday, July 30 from 12 noon to 4pm.
There will be free hot dogs and burgers, fairground stalls, games, music, songs and puppets with a 'strong likelihood' of tea and cake out back as well.
A spokesperson for the event said: "It is free to come along and everyone is invited. There will be food, games, music, things for kids, things for adults, we invite anyone to come down and enjoy the afternoon with us."
The church is on East Street in Bridport and became the United Church when the Bridport Congregation and Bridport Methodist church joined together almost as long ago as the anniversary they will be celebrating.
