ST CATHERINE'S took the overall honours as the Year 3 and 4 Primary Quadkids Athletics competition was hosted by the Sir John Colfox Academy.
The winners scored 1,271 points to beat Burton Bradstock (1,178) in second and Parrett & Axe A (1,141) in third.
Quadkids is an inclusive team event of four girls and four boys that involves the four core disciplines of running, throwing, jumping and sprinting.
Athletes' performances are then scored against results tables and the team with the highest cumulative points is the winner.
In the Year 3 and 4 competition, the events are the 400m run, the 50m sprint, a standing long jump and mini-howler throw.
This year's competition was extremely popular with ten schools taking part, comprising nearly 100 competitors.
There was a high standard of performance and some excellent individual results. Most notable was Kieran D from St Catherine's who won the boys' individual category and scored a new individual record of 215 points which equates to a Silver Award in the UK Athletics Scheme.
Amber D, from Thorners, won the girls' class.
