POLICE are reminding people about a scheme that reunites children that go missing on beaches in Dorset with their families.
From Sunday June 26 onwards, the popular LV= KidZone scheme that helps to prevent and reunite lost children and vulnerable adults on the seafront is making a welcome return once again during the summer period.
The beach safety scheme provides essential support to the seafront team working in conjunction with Dorset Police and the RNLI.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "Sadly, we see a significant number of people reported missing on our busy beaches in the summer, which can be a frightening experience for everyone involved.
"The Dorset Safe Summer scheme helps to reunite children and vulnerable adults with loved ones."
