AFTER 15 years of loyal service at Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club, stalwart Margaret Thompson retired last week.
Thompson has been hard at work in the club reception and is a key figure involved in the smooth running of the club's administration.
Marking the occasion, a golf event was held followed by a buffet and presentation.
Club president, Rod Condliffe, thanked Thompson for her hard work and dedication.
Thompson was presented with a new golf trolley and presents from the senior and ladies' sections.
In an emotional speech, Thompson thanked everyone for their help and support over her time at the golf club.
The competition saw Thompson's brother Harry Harrison win the men's competition with 40 points and Judy Walters win the ladies' event with 42 points.
