ONE person has been hospitalised following a four vehicle collision along a key in route in Bridport earlier today.
The incident took place on East Street shortly before 10am this morning.
A double-crewed land ambulance was deployed and transferred one patient to Dorset County Hospital.
Officers from Dorset Police were called at 9.58am and closed the road for almost two hours: the route re-opened at around 11.55am.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 09.59hrs today to a road traffic collision in Bridport. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and conveyed one patient to Dorset County Hospital”.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 9.58am on Wednesday 15 June 2022 to a report of a four vehicle collision in East Street in Bridport.
"Officers attended with the ambulance service. The road reopened at around 11.55am."
