BEAMINSTER have announced Neil Holt as their new manager.
Holt replaces much-loved former boss Gordon Childs in the hotseat.
Childs spent seven years as manager, taking the Rainbows from the Perry Street & District League into the Dorset Senior League (DSL) – their highest-ever level.
But after an 11th-placed finish in the DSL last season, Childs has stepped away.
Holt, his replacement, brings a wealth of management experience from neighbouring Somerset with him to the Memorial Ground.
Holt has managed at Glastonbury Town, Combe St Nicholas and Ashcott, also counting on a solid career as a player.
"I’m delighted to be appointed manager at Beaminster and can’t wait to get started," Holt told the Bridport News.
In a statement on social media, the Rainbows said: "Beaminster Football Club are delighted to announce Neil Holt as our new first team manager.
"Neil is really looking forward to working with the young squad and developing them to compete again in the Dorset Senior League."
Pre-season training will commence on Wednesday, July 6 at 6.30 and the Rainbows welcome all players to attend.
