THE Great British Skinny Dip is coming to Dorset this summer.

The event, held annually, sees thousands of people across the UK skinny dipping in order to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

This year there will be two ‘big dips’ in Dorset: the first takes place on July 9 from 11am at Ringstead Bay with a second being held at Knoll Beach on July 21 also from 11am.

British Naturism organise the event and said the aim of the dip is to “encourage acceptance and participation in naturism across the nation (and) promote the benefits of naturism, including confidence and wellbeing”.

A spokesperson for the Great British Skinny Dip said: “Whether you’re a seasoned skinny dipper or a nudie-newbie, we invite you to experience the freedom of swimming without trunks and bikinis this summer with the return of the Great British Skinny Dip.

"The Great British Skinny Dip supports the nation's largest heart charity, the British Heart Foundation and would like to encourage participants to raise vital funds to power the nation’s heartbeats.”
