ORGANISERS would like to say a 'big thank you' to everyone who joined Broadwindsor Primary School's sponsored walk on Bank Holiday Monday and to all those who have donated.
The total raised so far is just over £1,000.
The event, organised by the school PTA, was to raise much-needed funds for new and improved outdoor adventure play equipment. Around 50 students and parents from Broadwindsor Primary School gathered to climb to the top of Lewesdon Hill, Dorset's highest point.
A spokesman said: "Much cake was enjoyed at the top and some Pygmy goats from Laverstock Farm even came along to say hello.
"It was wonderful for the school community to come together at what will hopefully become an annual event."
The fundraising campaign is ongoing and the school would appreciate any support - visit https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/broadwindsorschoolsponsoredwalk
