People in the countryside are being urged to be vigilant after two 'suspicious incidents' where men in vans were seen looking around farm properties.
PCSO for the Beaminster area Alex Bishop says a Transit-type van was seen twice in quick succession in the Symondsbury area with two men on board, who appeared to be having a 'good look around'. When approached and asked if they were lost, one of the males said yes, before driving off.
The other incident in the Stoke Abbott area near Beaminster involved a Mercedes Sprinter van where a man got out of the vehicle, leaving the engine running, and had a walk around the premises. When approached he left quickly.
Both incidents occurred on Friday, April 22.
PCSO Bishop said: "Please be vigilant and report any suspicious incidents to us, at the time on 101, or 999 if you believe a crime is in progress. You can also report incidents online at www.dorset.police.uk"
