THE new licence laws for recycling came into force at the end of April and as a PRIVATE owner of a pick-up I now have to apply for a licence to visit the recycling plant.
This only permits me one visit a month which is ridiculous, especially in summer when garden waste is large. I also do some rebuild of walls around my property and fence repair which is very often (in a very windy area.)
If I had a large Volvo estate which holds as much as my double cab pick-up, this is is OK to use. This may lead to fly tipping, but anyway is discrimination against privately-owned vehicles.
