An exciting new project bringing classical music back to a village begins on Saturday, April 23.
Cattistock in Concert featuring The Cassandra String Quartet can be enjoyed at the village's beautiful parish church from 7.30pm.
The Cassandra String Quartet are all local professional players and is made up of Gillian Wallace – 1st violin, Polly Orr-Ewing – 2nd violin, Deborah Johns – Viola and Kathryn Foyle – ‘Cello.
Their programme will consist of some well-loved classical pieces including Haydn Quartet Op 76 No 1 in G Major, Britten: The Simple Symphony as well as a light-hearted piece, with a possible reference to St George’s Day.
There is no charge for this concert but suggested donations of £10 per person will be most welcome towards future concerts in this series. Drinks will be served during the interval.
