PETROL prices continue to rise in Dorset as sanctions are imposed on Russia following last month's invasion in Ukraine.

The RAC Foundation has warned petrol prices in the UK may continue to rise in the future, as the impact of new sanctions on Russian oil and gas imports takes hold.

But prices in Dorset have already exceeded this prediction - with one on Portland currently charging an eye-watering 190.7p a litre for petrol, while Texaco in Burton Bradstock is charging 197.9p diesel, according to figures from yesterday (March 10).
