Crews called to kitchen fire at west Dorset property
FIREFIGHTERS have been called to the scene of a kitchen fire at a Bridport home.
A crew from Bridport Fire Station was called to a property in North Mills after the occupier reported a small kitchen fire at around 1.27pm today.
"The fire involved cooking which was extinguished before the firefighters arrived," a Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
"The crew checked the area for heat damage and any fire spread to surrounding units using a thermal imaging camera, and ensured that the appliances were safe."
