BRIDPORT caretaker boss Shaun Annetts has confirmed goalkeeper Greg Taylor and striker Tony Carlile have become the latest players to leave the club.
Taylor, 29, is widely regarded as the Bees’ best-performing player during a season in which Bridport have lost 28 of 29 league games.
The former Dorchester Town custodian won the Toolstation League fans’ players of the month for December.
He is now understood to be a free agent and lining up a move to hometown club South Cheriton United in Yeovil & District League Division One.
Carlile, meanwhile, is switching back to Jewson Dorset Premier League side Dorchester Sports.

Speaking ahead of the Bees’ rearranged Les Phillips Cup first round tie at Tavistock on Saturday (3pm), Annetts said: “Unfortunately, Greg, who’s been outstanding, has decided to finish playing, which has been a major blow.
“With continual defeats, and heavy defeats at that, I think it’s taken its toll. He’s decided he can’t do it any more.
“Tony is another one who is moving, which is disappointing. I’ve lost two key players in the space of a week which has compounded our problems.
“But we’re looking to sign two or three players, possibly four, in the next few weeks to try and help us in these games.
“It will be tough, even tougher than it was. Trying to find people to play won’t be easy.”
Bridport must weigh up whether to replace Taylor with reserve-team keeper Jordon Scadding.
The sub-plot to the switch is Bridport Reserves’ two cup semi-finals, which Scadding could miss if he were promoted to the first team.
Elsewhere, Bridport are strengthened by the return of captain Jake Owen, leading scorer Mike Hill and midfielder Harry Burwood but Dan Baggs (hip), Dom McAllister and Jake Hawker (shoulder) miss out.
