Ever thought about becoming an on-call firefighter?
Bridport Fire Station is currently recruiting, and particularly wants people for weekday cover.
Like many stations in Dorset, Bridport is an on-call fire station staffed by firefighters who are available to respond to emergencies in their community when alerted by pager.
If you can get to the fire station in Sea Road South within five minutes from your home or workplace, are at least 18, and have a good standard of physical fitness then you could be an on-call firefighter at Bridport.
Full training is provided on an on-going basis, so previous experience is not needed. There is a minimum requirement for 40 hours’ cover per week.
Training at the Bridport station is on a Monday night from 7pm-9.30pm.
If you could respond during the day from work or home and want to know more about becoming an on-call firefighter visit www.dwfire.org.uk/on-call-firefighters/
