Last week on our Facebook page we asked the question: 'Let's see the best picture you've ever taken of our area.'

It's fair to say you delivered on the brief - and then some!

When we put the call out, our only aim was to brighten up people's Facebook feeds on a rainy day.

The weather was not brilliant  – so we decided it was time to interrupt people’s scrolling with some cheerful snaps of our county.

But with such a strong response by more than 100 talented residents, it would be rude not to showcase some of your images - so we've uploaded a small selection to this online gallery. 

These incredible shots depict the county's most dazzling sunsets, atmospheric ruined buildings and epic landscapes.
