While there are so many dates to remember we are wondering if International Tutu Day passed you by?
Held on February 2 (2-2) it is a celebration of more than just the classic balerina outfit, but of the whole world of ballet, its history and place in modern society.
One group which marked the day in style was the Bridport Bluetits swimming group which decided to celebrate in tutus on East Beach at West Bay before all going for a swim - and don't they all look splendid.
A spokesman for the group said: "The Bluetits are an informal group of mixed gender people who just like to swim together. Some carry on throughout the winter months, some don’t. Some enter swimming events, some swim across the Channel, some meet every morning same time, same place and swim chat their way through the water.
"Others swim ice miles, some meet for coffee and cake, and maybe a swim or even a paddle. Their link to each other initially is the joy of challenging ourselves to potter in and around open water together throughout the year."
