A COMMUNITY scheme is looking for volunteer gardeners to join the team to support people with learning difficulties.
Volunteer Centre Dorset - a charity that supports people across Dorset to find meaningful and enjoyable volunteering opportunities – needs people to join their allotment in Allington Avenue, Dorchester.
They run a project called the Community Credit Scheme.
Siobhan Davis, project coordinator, said: “Our team of volunteer mentors open so many doors for people with learning disabilities to get involved in their community and have a voice to shape local services.

“A volunteer gardener will allow people with learning disabilities to get outside, learn about growing fruits and vegetables, and have some social interaction.’
