A driver has been fined £1,000 for driving 33mph above the speed limit on a busy west Dorset route.
Quinn Lovell Robinson, 42, was charged with exceeding a 50mph speed limit in his Audi on the A35 at Miles Cross, Bridport.
The defendant’s case was heard at Weymouth Magistrates Court on Monday, January 24, and was proved via the single justice procedure.
The charge relates to an incident on the A35 on April 18 last year in which Robinson, whose address was given as Newtown Road in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, was found travelling at 83mph in the 50mph zone at Miles Cross.
The court fined the defendant £1,000, ordered him to pay a surcharge of £100 and costs of £90.
Robinson’s driving licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
