A 65-metre section of Rope Walks in Bridport town centre is to be closed at the end of January and into February so works can be undertaken by an internet company.
To enable a diversion route to be put into place the one-way system on Rope Walks from its junction with Gundry Lane will be temporarily revoked to allow two-way traffic flow for access.
Jurassic Fibre Limited want to close a 65-metre section of Rope Walks running alongside the north east corner of the car park.
These works are programmed to commence between 8am until 5pm from January 29 until February 6 with work actually taking place on the weekends of January 29 and 30 and February 5 and 6.
Dorset Council says Jurassic Fibre Limited will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the work, will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works, and sign a diversion route.
If you have any concerns about this proposal contact Izzy Rowland via email on trafficteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk by January 13.
