A TV star whose credits include EastEnders, Holby City and The Last Detective is to host an acting class in Lyme Regis.

The Marine Theatre is to host a ten-week stage and screen acting class, beginning in January 2022.

The course will be hosted by Billy Geraghty, an experienced actor who has worked on the stage and on various television shows.

If you’re working on auditions for drama school, making your own film, or have a public speaking engagement, this course offers an introduction into the world of acting.

Participants will have the opportunity to perform short scenes - both on stage and for the camera - with a public sharing at the end of the course using the Marine’s cinema screen. There will also be plenty of tips and tricks for self taping at home, audition help, and even how to operate the technical equipment.

Billy Geraghty said: "It was brilliant to see such enthusiasm for this course on the taster day earlier this year - I’m really pleased we can now offer a full course to satisfy demand."
