A ROAD in Lyme Regis is closed today after a fallen tree completely blocked the route.
Storm Arwen hit Dorset on Friday night (November 26) into Saturday morning (November 27) with strong winds which brought down trees, damaged buildings and caused traffic disruption around the county.
A tree has been brought down by the strong winds on Saturday along Cobb Road near to Holmbush Car Park in Lyme Regis and blocked the road.
As a result, the route was impassable and motorists were advised to follow alternative routes in the town.
Some of the tree had been cleared, with damage to a, nearby wall.
An earlier update from Travel Dorset reads: “Cobb Road both ways blocked due to fallen tree from A3052 Pound Street to The Cobb Arms Pub.”
The winds of Storm Arwen brought down trees around the Lyme Regis area, with the A3052 blocked due to a fallen tree.
