An amazing spectacle of light lit up a local landmark as a community came together for an annual event to mark St Catherine's Day.
Candles on the Hill was held on St Catherine's Hill, Abbotsbury on Sunday.
It commemorates St Catherine of Alexandria, one of the most popular early Catholic martyrs, whose feast day is on November 25.
The event is a fundraiser for the Friends Of St Nicholas' Church, Abbotsbury and sees the community come together to remember loved ones.
Paper candle bags, decorated by locals and containing LED lights are laid out in the shape of a circle representing a Catherine Wheel, and line the path to the chapel on the hillside. They were seen to glow in the fading light after sunset.
A short service was held in St Catherine's Chapel as twilight fell.
