A four-day ‘arctic blast’ is set to hit the UK in November threatening Bonfire Night displays and even snow later this this month.
Temperatures are set to get even colder, with gales likely over the coming days, with snow expected in the third week of November.
The Met Office said Brits can expect colder temperatures in the week ahead.
The Met Office confirmed: "After a wet and windy Halloween with a deep Atlantic low pressure system and damaging winds, it turns colder into the new week."
‘Arctic plume set to ruin Bonfire Night
Meanwhile The Daily Star reports that Bonfire Night could be a washout this year.
John Hammond, of weathertrending, said: “The drop of 10C or more will be quite a shock as temperatures tumble after such warm conditions recently.
"Blustery northwesterly winds will make it feel chillier, with snow possible on northern mountains and perhaps to lower levels, with overnight frost possibly becoming more widespread.
"Atlantic fronts are expected to bring rain from the west by the weekend."
‘wintry showers to hit uk’
Weather forecasters at the Met Office predict “wintry showers” will hit parts of the UK in the third week of November.
From November 15 to November 2, the Met Office predict: "Temperatures set to be slightly below average overall throughout this period with an increased likelihood of wintry showers from the north and northwest at times," forecasters say.
"These showers are most likely over high ground with low risk of them reaching lower levels later in the month."
