A LOCAL transport group is set to resume its public meetings following an 18 month break due to the pandemic.
The West Dorset Western Area Transport Action Group (WATAG) has announced the resumption of its bi-monthly public meetings.
The decision has been taken to hold the next meeting virtually on Zoom, and review the situation for future meetings in due course. This meeting will take place on Thursday, September 23, starting at 6.30pm.
First Wessex is due to introduce its winter service for the X51 and X53 Jurassic Coaster services in early October, so details are expected in time for the WATAG meeting.
WATAG has also responded to a consultation document issued by South Western Railways with its proposals for future timetables. Time will also be allocated at the meeting to discuss this.
A WATAG spokesman said: "We hope to welcome representatives from local public transport providers, and councillors and particularly you - as Public Transport Users.
"There will also be a 'democratic moment' when anyone can raise questions about local bus and rail services."
