A MAJOR road has been reopened following a crash involving two vehicles this afternoon.
The A35 eastbound was closed due to a crash near Long Bredy Hut Lane between Bridport and Dorchester.
The road was closed on the eastbound side but traffic heading westbound can still get past and was mostly affecting traffic between Dorchester and Bothenhampton.
Police and ambulance attended the scene.
The road has been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 12.24pm of a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A35 near to Long Bredy Hut Lane between Bridport and Dorchester.
"Officers have attended the scene, along with the ambulance service. The eastbound carriageway has been closed but the westbound remains open.
"There is no update in relation to any injuries at this time. Recovery for the vehicles is being arranged."
