ORGANISERS say a showcase for flowers, fruit, handicrafts and more was very successful.
With the Melplash Show unable to go ahead this year, a Summer Homecraft and Horticulture Show was held on what would have been the day of the show on Thursday, August 26.
The show was open to exhibitors only and received more than 750 entries across all categories.
Local gardeners took the opportunity to show off the fruit, vegetables and flowers of their labour whilst others showed their baking and artistic talents.
Society secretary, Lucy Hart said: ”Although slightly smaller than usual the entries were as always fantastic and of a very high standard. It was also fantastic to see that we had attracted some new exhibitors too.
"It is important to us after not having a Melplash Show last year or this that we keep the momentum going. I really can’t thank the section chairs, volunteers, judges and sponsors enough for all they did to make the day the success it was”.
