THE public are being encouraged to be alert of modern slavery.
It comes as police officers across Dorset highlight the signs to look out for when it comes to modern slavery across the county.
Modern slavery victims are usually trafficked for the sole purpose of being exploited for sex.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "Modern slavery victims can be trafficked and exploited for sex.
"Signs include victims being closely guarded, afraid to talk and having signs of physical abuse such as bruises or other injuries.
