A MINOR injuries unit in Bridport is requesting residents book an appointment before visiting.
Bridport MIU is urging residents to call NHS 111 for advice if they have an ailment or injury which you believe requires care. Following this, residents are being advised to book a face-to-face appointment if necessary, rather than just dropping in.
A spokesman for Dorset Healthcare said: "Please do not just turn up to one of our minor injuries units – you cannot be seen without an appointment.
"Only go to an A&E if it is an emergency and always call 999 for anything life threatening."
If an injury is not life threatening or serious, minor injuries units can treat sprains and strains, broken bones, infected wounds, minor burns and scaled, minor head injuries, injuries to the back, shoulders and chest and more.
