A TEA party was held to say 'thank you' to local organisation who have contributed to a community project.
The Cowshed at Plot 17 is an initiative based in the allotments behind Bridport Medical Centre, with an aim of creating a space to support people suffering from loneliness, isolation, mental ill-health and long term illness by providing a place for people to spend time with others in the fresh air growing their own fruit and vegetables.
The tea party was attended by Mayor of Bridport, Ian Bark and his wife Anne, members of the Bridport Rotary Club and representatives of a number of local businesses who contributed to the project such as Stuart Hedway Pathing and Groundworks, Bridport Building Supplies and Stepping into Nature.
Bridport Town Council was also thanked for the groundworks it provided and Brights, who created a direct access with a new fence and gate.
A total of 50 people have contributed to the project, through making furniture, giving plants, digging, scything and creating artwork as well as leaving donations at the medical centre.
