A HISTORY society is hosting an illustrated talk on the history of a west Dorset beach.
Charmouth History Society will host the 'Charmouth Beach: Scenes from its Past' event on Friday, September 17.
The event will take place at the Village Hall on Wesley Close from 7pm and will look into the history of the beach and how the area has changed over centuries.
The talk will be hosted by Charmouth-based historian, Neil Mattingly, and will cover the early history of the beach - stretching back nearly two thousand years from its place on the Roman Road to its current life as a popular seaside resort.
Tickets to the event cost £4 on the door, with free entry for society members.
