There are reports of a crash on the A35 between Dorchester and Bridport.
It is understood a motorcyclist and a horse lorry were involved in the collision near the turning to Litton Cheney.
The A35 is partially blocked both ways, and there is slow traffic in the areas as a result.
The Purple West Dorset Patrol team said they were dealing with a two vehicle road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the A35 at the Long Bredy/Litton Cheney turning.
Officers said traffic is flowing well at the moment but drivers should be prepared for delays in the area.
