A BUS link from Bridport to Weymouth will be withdrawn next week.

West Dorset Western Area Transport Action Group (WATAG) has received notification from First Wessex that the X52 open top summer special service, which runs every two hours from Bridport to Weymouth and onto Monkey World via Osmington and Lulworth, will stop after Saturday, September 4.

This means the only direct service between Bridport and Weymouth after this date will be the X53 bus.

Bob Driscoll from WATAG said passengers may not be aware of the change.

First’s summer timetable usually runs until the end of September.
