A FUN, educational event is taking place to mark a national celebration.
The Lyme Bay National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) station at Hive Beach is hosting an event to celebrate National Coastwatch Day.
The event will take place from the boat park in front of the Hive Beach Café on Saturday, August 28 from 10am until 4pm.
Those in attendance will be able to learn about the role of the NCI and how watch keeper's work with coastguard teams.
There will also be a number of fun activities, such as a light reaction challenge, a lucky dip, a pirate gold quiz, a treasure hunt and face painting.
National Coastwatch Day celebrates the growth of the charity, originally stemming from a single station with a handful of volunteers and now having 57 manned and operational stations.
